Elite KY Football Players

Meet Our Staff
For the last time the Southeastern Conference basketball season will consist
of two divisions. Currently in the Eastern Division are Kentucky, Florida,
Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. in the West, we have
Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, and Mississippi state. Now with
Texas A & M and Missouri coming into the conference, there will be no
divisions.

As we look at the heavily favored Kentucky Wildcats SEC schedule, we can
always look for a pitfall or two on that always tough road schedule. As
University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari is always saying, "Everybody
that plays Kentucky, it is their "Super Bowl" game!"

This team of Cats are again very talented and also very young. They have
proved to be very skilled and it shows by their number two ranking in the
nation and a 13-1 record with their only loss being to Indiana and their
hostile crowd.

Last year the Cats lost some very close games on the road and they grew a
lot and that propelled them to an SEC tournament championship and an
appearance in the final four.

I am predicting the Cats to go undefeated at home and to lose two games on
the road at Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. Vanderbilt always gives the
Cats fits in the oblong gym with the coaches benches on the same end of the
floor. They also return a Senior ball club that just recently knocked off #
15 Marquette. The other loss could come at Starksville, Mississippi when the
Wildcats travel down to take on the Mississippi Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are
currently standing with only two losses on the season and have the strongest
inside game that the Wildcats will face all year.

I look for the Wildcats to keep the Rupp Arena win streak in line with
victories over South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Ole
Miss, Vanderbilt, and Georgia.

The SEC conference was once looked upon as conference that was more football
related, but lately has produced some great teams in basketball that are
always in the top twenty-five ratings in the nation. When you take on a 16
game conference schedule, you must be on your game every night you step out
on the court.

The Wildcats will depend a lot on veteran players: Darius Miller, Doron
Lamb, Terrence Jones, and Eloy Vargas to guide the young freshmen when they
get their first dose of play in the tough SEC basketball schedule.
